Korea Top 30 — Sanrio week: what Olive Young Korea is actually selling

2026-09-21 · Source: Olive Young Korea live ranking (all categories), oliveyoung.co.kr, read 2026-09-21 10:30 KST. Prices are the promotional shelf price in KRW at time of reading.

Second issue. Every Monday we read Olive Young Korea's live best-seller ranking — the one Korean shoppers see, in Korean, with Korean promo bundles — and translate it. This week the chart turned over almost completely: 21 of 30 slots are new, the September 'Olive Young Pick' promo is in full swing, and Sanrio (Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll) is stamped on eight products.

Five things the chart says

The chart flipped from skincare to makeup.

Issue 001 was eleven barrier creams; this week 13 of 30 are color cosmetics (WAKEMAKE ×3, hince, RISKY, Alternative Stereo ×2, fwee, CLIO, Holika Holika, JUST SOMETHING, HERA, Jung Saem Mool). September is launch month for Korean makeup brands ahead of the October Olive Young Awards, and every launch gets an exclusive pre-sale here.

Sanrio is the promo engine.

Eight of the 30 carry a Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll or Sanrio-characters edition — S.NATURE, WAKEMAKE ×3, Mediheal pads, Anua, Hanyul, and the Zeroid 'Nurungi' sticker. Same product, new sleeve, top 30. If you are buying from overseas, the plain version is the same formula at the same price.

Cleansers are the surprise category.

Four cleansing foams in the top 15 (#1 The Face Shop, #5 Zeroid, #9 Beplain, #15 Hanyul). Cheap, repurchasable, and the first thing Koreans swap when the season changes from humid to dry.

Anua cooled off; the barrier creams that stayed are the ones to buy.

Last week's three Anua entries shrank to one. What survived the turnover: AESTURA Atobarrier 365 (#21 → #10), S.NATURE Aqua Squalane (#13 → #8), Mediheal Essential Mask (#2 → #3), Beplain (#25 → #9). Two-week staying power on this chart is a better signal than a one-week spike.

Price floor moved down.

The median item this week is ₩23,000 (~$16.50) versus ₩26,000 last week, and the #1 item costs ₩10,700. Korean shoppers are buying cheaper, higher-frequency items into autumn — good news for anyone importing via YesStyle or Olive Young Global, where these bundles ship at Korean prices.
